A woman that has an impact on my life in my mom. She has given me so many great tips for me in life. She provides a lifestyle at home for me and my family and I don’t know what we would do without her. She gets groceries for us, makes dinner, she cleans the floor by vacuuming, she does our laundry, she takes the dog on walks, and she even does the dishes sometimes. My mom does so many things that provide us a very fun and healthy lifestyle. She also works every day to make money so we can have a home and be able to eat and have clothes. My mom takes the time to be at home and cook for me and my family and then has the time to take us to afterschool stuff like sports and doctor and dentist appointments. Even when she is not at her happiest mood she still takes the time to clean the house and drive me to basketball and cook dinner for my family and I.

This week I started working on my trifold. I glued some construction paper on the sides and I’m still in the process of making my bubble letters for painting. I didn’t paint at all this week and I would like to start my watercolor painting next week. I will be making an XOXO painting with lines in between it. I had no struggles this week. The adjustments that I had to make is that I was planning on painting this week but I didn’t get to do that because I realized that we were allowed to start my trifold this week. So I worked on my trifold the whole sixty minutes we got and accomplished a good amount of it. I still have to print out my inspo photo and then show my painting that I actually did. The next time I work on this I will be planning to start my watercolor painting and then keep working on my trifold and maybe start writing a little chuck of the script I will be reading.

This month I read a book called A Good Girls Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson. I have not finished reading this book yet and I am currently on page 128. This book is about a girl named Pip who is trying to solve a mystery. There was a crime scene a couple years ago and it contained this girl named Andie Bell and Sal Singh. Apparently Sal Singh killed his girlfriend, Andie Bell, and then killer himself after guilt. Pip is trying to figure out the ending to this mystery and while she is going along with her project she keeps finding al these minds of secrets that are being unfolded. While she is trying to find the answers someone she doesn’t know doesn’t like how she is trying to solve this mystery, and now Andie could possibly be in danger.

There were many reasons why I liked this book, let me list my reasons. The first reason why I loved this book so much is because I love how in every chapter something very mysterious happens. I feel like in some other books I will just be reading it and nothing interesting happens and I start to get bored and not want to read the book anymore. So every time I read this book I always want to read more and I don’t just get bored in the middle of the book. Another reason why I loved this book is because it gets me scared sometimes. What I’m trying to say is that sometimes I will read a chapter and in that chapter in one line where I just look up shocked. I get so scared sometimes where I feel like I’m going to have nightmares but I don’t actually.

My favorite character is Pip and the character trait I chose for her is perseverance. I chose this work because Pip keeps on trying in her investigation and never gives up. “Stop digging, Pippa.” (Page 99) I chose this quote for my character trait because when she was camping she got a note that said this and she thought one of her friends did it but eventually discovers that it wasn’t them and it was a person she didn’t know trying to get in the way of her investigation. This made Pip very concerned and she even did the opposite of what the note told her to do. She kept having interviews with people and kept trying to get more information.

My favorite quote from this book is, “ I need to call Ravi.” (Page 87) This quote is meaningful to me because it shows me how close Pip and Ravi are together even though they have gone through their ups and downs. Even though they got into a fight in the beginning of a book they still are really close friends.

This week I started a second acrylic painting. I finished my turtle painting on the beach with sand and footprints. The second painting I started is a basketball painting with a beige background and orange basketballs. Then in the background of my beige base, I have this basketball court painted onto the canvas with black paint. I have to act like the basketballs are not there and try to just draw the key and free throw line to make it look like inside the three point line on a basketball court. I had no struggles this week. The adjustments that I had to make is that I started a second painting because I didn’t think it would take only three weeks to complete my first acrylic painting. The next time I work on this project I will be starting my watercolor painting and it will be a XOXO pink and red watercolor painting.

This week for my 20% project I worked on finishing my tester acrylic painting. My accomplishments this week is that I finished my tester painting and it looks better than I thought it would. My struggles this week were that I had to add more green and white to the ocean because there was too much blue and not enough white for the look of the waves. The adjustments that I mad was I worked a lot on the ocean to make the waves look real and make the white seem like real waves, and I also had to work a lot on my footprints for my turtle on the sand. Next time I work on this I will start my final painting for my acrylic painting. I will probably work on my final painting for the next 2 weeks and then I can start my watercolor painting which will probably only take one week, so I can work on my watercolor painting and finish my acrylic and work on my trifold.

The room in my house that is my favorite is my room. My room is my favorite room because every time I walk into it, it feels like home. I walk into it and it smells refreshing. For example if I’m on vacation and I bring a doll or a blanket and I smell it, it reminds me of my room and usually makes me a little home sick. Usually always after I get home I go in my room and just stay there on my phone or doing homework. I always get ready and unready in my room and I mainly spend most of my life in there.

This week I was working on my practice canvas for my acrylic painting. My accomplishments that I had this week is that I started the sand background and a little bit of the ocean. I had no struggles this week. The adjustments that I had to make is that I did not think about the drying process of the paint, so I had to go outside and wave my painting dry. It dries pretty quickly when you do that. Next week when I work on my project I am planning on finishing my practice canvas and maybe start my final painting for my acrylic. After I finish the acrylic painting I will start my watercolor. I think that I wont take a lot of time on my watercolor painting so I am trying to give myself more time to work on the acrylic painting but I still have to remember I have to do my trifold.

I am very excited to play my first tournament this weekend because it’s been two weeks since our last season ended. I don’t know what gym we will play at but I know that our team will be rusty based on how we played at practice yesterday. I am getting a lot of practice in while going to basketball practices for my club team and meanwhile doing HMS basketball. I have practices for school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and I have practices for my club team everyday besides Thursday. I have my first school scrimmage this weekend and I am going to go to that and then Shoot 360 afterwards. I go to skills on Mondays and Fridays for club, and have practices on Tuesdays, from 6-8. I am getting a lot of practice in this week and I am going to be prepared for this weekend, and my team has to win because we are on streak of winning 15-0.

This is my first week of the 20% project. I chose to do painting. My accomplishments this week was finding exactly which paintings I was going to paint. I am going to do one watercolor painting and one acrylic painting. I had no struggles this week. The adjustments that I had to make this week is that I wrote on my Eight Week Plan that I was going to do three paintings but then I thought about the time it would take to do the paintings and decided to do one of each method instead. I kept switching in between different kinds of paintings because there were many beautiful options to choose from. For the watercolor painting I am going paint on watercolor paper and do and xoxo painting in four boxes with mostly pink and red paint. For the acrylic painting I am going to use a canvas and paint a sea turtle with leftover footprints in the sand and then the ocean will be in the corner. This Friday when I work on my project I will be starting my watercolor painting.

There are so many people I would invite to dinner, but these are my top three : Kayden, Charlotte, and Valerie. I would invite Kayden because she is one of my best friends and she makes me happy. Charlotte, Kayden and I are always on FaceTime together and there is always one point on the FaceTime where we always burst out laughing and start crying with each other. The reason why I would want to invite Valerie is because when I’m with her she always gives me the best advice and she is also one of my best friends. Whenever I have a question about friends or I’m confused on something she always can answer my questions. Me and Valerie always read each other’s minds and always burst out laughing every time we say something at the same time and I feel like It would be a blast to have Valerie at my dinner.
