This week for my 20% project I worked on finishing my tester acrylic painting. My accomplishments this week is that I finished my tester painting and it looks better than I thought it would. My struggles this week were that I had to add more green and white to the ocean because there was too much blue and not enough white for the look of the waves. The adjustments that I mad was I worked a lot on the ocean to make the waves look real and make the white seem like real waves, and I also had to work a lot on my footprints for my turtle on the sand. Next time I work on this I will start my final painting for my acrylic painting. I will probably work on my final painting for the next 2 weeks and then I can start my watercolor painting which will probably only take one week, so I can work on my watercolor painting and finish my acrylic and work on my trifold.

The room in my house that is my favorite is my room. My room is my favorite room because every time I walk into it, it feels like home. I walk into it and it smells refreshing. For example if I’m on vacation and I bring a doll or a blanket and I smell it, it reminds me of my room and usually makes me a little home sick. Usually always after I get home I go in my room and just stay there on my phone or doing homework. I always get ready and unready in my room and I mainly spend most of my life in there.

This week I was working on my practice canvas for my acrylic painting. My accomplishments that I had this week is that I started the sand background and a little bit of the ocean. I had no struggles this week. The adjustments that I had to make is that I did not think about the drying process of the paint, so I had to go outside and wave my painting dry. It dries pretty quickly when you do that. Next week when I work on my project I am planning on finishing my practice canvas and maybe start my final painting for my acrylic. After I finish the acrylic painting I will start my watercolor. I think that I wont take a lot of time on my watercolor painting so I am trying to give myself more time to work on the acrylic painting but I still have to remember I have to do my trifold.

I am very excited to play my first tournament this weekend because it’s been two weeks since our last season ended. I don’t know what gym we will play at but I know that our team will be rusty based on how we played at practice yesterday. I am getting a lot of practice in while going to basketball practices for my club team and meanwhile doing HMS basketball. I have practices for school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and I have practices for my club team everyday besides Thursday. I have my first school scrimmage this weekend and I am going to go to that and then Shoot 360 afterwards. I go to skills on Mondays and Fridays for club, and have practices on Tuesdays, from 6-8. I am getting a lot of practice in this week and I am going to be prepared for this weekend, and my team has to win because we are on streak of winning 15-0.

This is my first week of the 20% project. I chose to do painting. My accomplishments this week was finding exactly which paintings I was going to paint. I am going to do one watercolor painting and one acrylic painting. I had no struggles this week. The adjustments that I had to make this week is that I wrote on my Eight Week Plan that I was going to do three paintings but then I thought about the time it would take to do the paintings and decided to do one of each method instead. I kept switching in between different kinds of paintings because there were many beautiful options to choose from. For the watercolor painting I am going paint on watercolor paper and do and xoxo painting in four boxes with mostly pink and red paint. For the acrylic painting I am going to use a canvas and paint a sea turtle with leftover footprints in the sand and then the ocean will be in the corner. This Friday when I work on my project I will be starting my watercolor painting.

There are so many people I would invite to dinner, but these are my top three : Kayden, Charlotte, and Valerie. I would invite Kayden because she is one of my best friends and she makes me happy. Charlotte, Kayden and I are always on FaceTime together and there is always one point on the FaceTime where we always burst out laughing and start crying with each other. The reason why I would want to invite Valerie is because when I’m with her she always gives me the best advice and she is also one of my best friends. Whenever I have a question about friends or I’m confused on something she always can answer my questions. Me and Valerie always read each other’s minds and always burst out laughing every time we say something at the same time and I feel like It would be a blast to have Valerie at my dinner.

This month I read a book called The Last Fallen Star by Graci Kim. This book is about a girl named Riley Oh trying to get powers. She is trying to get powers from her sister Hattie. There are many struggles to life and Hattie has many of those kinds of struggles. So it’s kind of hard for her to just “share” or “give” powers to hey sister. Not just “hard” I’m saying that nobody has ever done it and they are trying to do something that is considered “impossible.” There is this thing called The Last Fallen Star and Riley has to find that star if she wants to have powers that aren’t given to her by anybody. As she keeps along with her mission to find The Last Fallen Star she find a lot of cool creatures but also interacts with a lot of enemies. It is a very fun adventure for her and Riley has to decide if she really wants to become a witch for the rest of her life and become apart of the witch family or stay and keep her life the way it is.

The Last Fallen Star is a good book I think you should read, let me give you a couple reasons why I liked this book. The first reason I liked this book is because it’s a very adventurous book about teenagers trying to find something and keep going in their journey to try finding something. Another reason why I liked this book is because Riley doesn’t know if she belongs. I like how there is a conflict with the main character and I love how it shows us what’s going on inside of her head.

My favorite character from this book is Riley Oh. The character trait I chose for Riley is determined. I chose this character trait because I feel like Riley is very tenacious when it comes to keeping up with trying to find the star. She always perseveres and never gives up. I have been trying to do that in life and try to not give up even if I’m really close to giving up so this is what I relate to. “Everyone Ready?” (Pg 43) is the quote I chose as my evidence. I chose this quote because It explains Riley is a persevering human being. It shows how when she was in her teachers class they were all packing up and then got ready to pack up. She was getting ready to go into the woods with one of her friends and is always very confident she is going to find there star every single day.

My favorite quote from this book was “Sorry for leaving you behind before” on page 118. I love this quote because it explains how this boy from her class was trying to help her find the star but then he left and wandered off. Riley got really scared and was all alone for a bit. He came back eventually and apologized about leaving her.

If I could have any job in the whole entire world, it would be a business owner for a cosmetics line. Here are a couple reasons why I would love this job. The first reason why I would love to have this job is because I love working with people. I wouldn’t like to have a job where I would just go to an office and sit there for hours just on a computer answering emails and being on the phone for nine hours a day. I would love to have a job where I am communicating with people in-person all day and hiring new people to work for my business. The second reason I would love to have this job is because I love makeup. I love wearing it, I love experimenting with it, and I feel like it would be a fun experience to make makeup and make all kinds of different shades of foundations and lipglosses and concealers to make. Especially from my perspective when using mascara is hard because I have smaller eyelashes than most people. So I would definitely make makeup and skincare than works for people who have the kind of skin like me. The dream of owning a cosmetics line is having it in popular stores like Ulta Beauty and Sephora. They have those stores all over the world. The third reason I would love to own a cosmetics line is because I feel like it would be very fun to succeed and be profitable with my business and see how much I’ve grown. I could look back to myself years later and see how little my business was to now how successful it is.

This month I read a book called Dear Friends by Lisa Greenwald. This book is about a girl named Eleni and she is the kind of person to always have a BFF. When she was younger she had a best friend named Sylvie Bank. Sylvie had an end-of-summer party and Eleni couldn’t picture starting middle school without her BFF. Eleni’s main goal is to win back Sylvie Banks and make her come back to be being BFF’s with Eleni.

Dear Friends is an amazing book you should get. Here are some reasons why I loved the book. The first reason why I loved this book is because I like how she always wants to have a best friend. She always knows who she is closest too at the moment and I think that everyone in life should always know who their closest friends are. In my opinion I think that someone should always have a best friend. Another reason why I liked this book is because all she talks about in this book is about different kinds of friends she has and who she thinks other people’s closest friends are.

My favorite character is Eleni because she has a lot of feelings that relate to me.The character trait I chose for her is Insecure. I feel like she thinks a lot of people are always staring at her and think she has no friends. She always thinks she has to have a BFF and always needs to have someone by her side. In my opinion I think that is true because I feel like I would need to have someone always by my side and not just a million friends. “Yeah, she thinks she’s sooooo cool but anyways”, this is the quote I chose as my evidence. I chose this quote because I feel like it shows that Eleni talks bad about people and on the inside she is just jealous of everybody and feel like she doesnt have enough friends. So that made me think that people at school who are bullies might have a bad life at home and might just let out their anger at everybody at their school.

My favorite quote from this book is, “So far it seems that William A. Spinick has no recollection of our friendship or even me as a living human person”. This quote if meaningful to me because it shows me that she is always thinking that nobody likes her even when maybe they are just busy or doing something. For example there was one point in the book where she said that she thought somebody didn’t like her because they responded to the text too late. The thing Eleni needs to learn thought is that your not always going to have freinds forever, and that is the thing she doesnt get. She needs to know that if you have a BFF your not going to be in their life forever and their not going to be in your life forever.

I am invisible! The first thing I would do when I’m invisible is go to a store and steal all my favorite snacks in the store. I would do this because I would throw party with my friends and I will have them over and they wont be able to see me but I can still talk and hang out with them. The second thing I would do is at school I would still be there but people would think that I wasn’t there and I would be all caught up with everything. When I am at school I would mess with the teacher and mess around with all my friends. I would go up to people and pull their hair. I would do this because I think that it would be funny as a joke fro my friends and my teacher to come back the next day and tell them that I was actually at school participating and was just invisible.
